Established in 2021 across 77 municipalities including Argelato and Bastiglia, the Emilia-Romagna DOC focuses on the Pignoletto grape, which must constitute at least 85% of the blend. What sets this denomination apart from neighboring Italian appellations is its highly pragmatic packaging rules: the base wine can be distributed in two-to-six-liter bag-in-box containers, while steel kegs up to 60 liters are permitted for the frizzante style. Yields are capped at 21.0 tonnes per hectare. The resulting straw-yellow wines carry aromas of white hawthorn and jasmine, offering a dry to medium-sweet palate of ripe pear with a slightly bitter finish.
