Besenello, an alpine community of under three thousand residents in the autonomous province of Trento, leverages its steep mountain slopes to cultivate exceptional grapes. This dramatic topography shapes the 24 in total protected denominations overlapping this specific territory. At the forefront is the highly localized Vallagarina IGT, a wine designation limited to a zone of 21 municipalities, followed closely by the red Casteller DOC.
