Province of Sassari

Following the April 2025 territorial split of northern Sardinia, the province of Sassari retains a unique agricultural footprint defined by a coastal-to-mountain viticultural spectrum. Across its 66 municipalities, this region nurtures 21 protected denominations. What sets Sassari apart is the dramatic sensory contrast between the saline, Catalan-influenced Alghero DOC on the western coast and the rare, honeyed Moscato di Sorso DOC harvested from wind-swept limestone slopes.
